Apprentice Vehicle Paint Refinisher

Reporting to the Directors:

The Apprentice Paint Refinisher to train/work alongside existing skilled staff in the Paint department reporting to the workshop controller or depot manager daily.

In addition to training and assisting in the paint department you will carry out general housekeeping duties.

You will mainly work with a chosen mentor in the paint department with duties to include:

Preparation – stripping, sanding and masking Etching and priming areas to be treated Colour matching and mixing Paint application techniques including spray booth technology Buffing and polishing methods Paint defect corrections

Training:
Vehicle Damage Paint Technician Level 3 Apprentice Standard includes an End Point Assessment The EPA consists of three distinct assessment methods: Knowledge Test Professional Discussion (supported by a portfolio of evidence) Practical Skills Test 1 day per week Sheffield College – Advanced Technology Centre Olive Grove, 2 Olive Grove Road, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S2 3BA

Training Outcome:
Sustained employment and further accredited training for the successful candidate able to demonstrate commitment with the eagerness to develop their skills
