Patient Admin Services Assistant Apprentice at The Heron Practice

Member of the Patient Services team, responsible for -

Assisting patients with their queries, via telephone, online or face to face.  Processing documentation Liaising with hospitals and organising patient referrals Providing support to GP’s and updating patient medical records Give support to those needing more assistance

This is very much a key role in the practice, interacting with all staff members and being the first point of contact for our patients.



Training:
Level 3 Business Admin apprentiveship There will be statutory and mandatory NHS training in various areas, such as Basic life support, chaperoning etc. Will learn various computer systems as part of the working of the practice

Training Outcome:
The idea is to build resilience and have ingrown and supported team members to take on full time roll within the practice after their training is completed Will have full knowledge to work in a GP practice, ideally where apprenticed, but could be any GP after that

Employer Description:
GP practice, with a patient pool of about 12,500.  4 GP Partners, and 5 salaried GP’s as well as 2 HCA’s, 3 nurses, 1 Pharmacist.  This is a teaching practice, with medical students, and registrars training to become GP’s, as well as a  trainee Practice Nurse.  Based in City & Hackney, only 2 mins from Manor House underground.

Working Hours :
Monday- Saturday Shifts to be confirmed
