Vecta - Level 3 Apprentice Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities: 

Assist experienced mechanics in performing routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment Perform basic tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections Maintain a clean and organised workspace Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment Communicate effectively with team members and customers

Training:
Motor vehicle service and maintenance technician - light vehicle
Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard 4 days per week at Vecta  1 day per week at Newcastle College 

Training Outcome:
Progress to full time employment with the garage on completion of apprenticeship 

Employer Description:
Vecta are a supplier to Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK. The role is based on the Nissan site within the Vecta’s garage. The garage maintains all of the vehicle used around the site at Nissan and the fleet management services and maintains vehicles for other Nissan suppliers on site.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 4.00pm
