Senior Equine Groom Apprenticeship

As the apprentice on the yard, you will be required to complete all yard duties such as:

Feeding Mucking out Turning out/ fetching in Caring for a variety of livery horses

Also, you will be learning skills such as;

Clipping Loading Trimming Bathing

You will improve your customer service skills by dealing with clients over at the riding school and supporting show days. They also have breeding stock on site.

Training:

All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach. 

There will also be opportunities to ride is that is something you would like to do.

Training Outcome:

For the right candidate there may be an opportunity to progress to full time employment.

Employer Description:
Long standing employer that has a riding school, sales yard, livery yard and is an affiliated competition centre.

Working Hours :
Working 5 days out of 7, 7.30am - 4.30pm. Please expect to work some weekend days.
