Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineering Apprentice

Duties include:

Assist engineer with carrying and passing tools Erect Ladders and other equipment Learn to read drawings Customer communication Maintenance work e.g changing filters and cleaning (supervised) Helping to organise the unit and van stock Any other tasks that will help to support our small team

Training:
The qualification the apprentice shall recieve at the end of the apprenticeship will be the Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship standard Day release will involve attending SBC Training in Shrewsbury one day a week Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours – Learners and employers will have a range of options to select from that cover each knowledge module of the apprenticeship standard Functional Skills - These provide practical skills to help gain the most out of work, education and everyday life. Learners will complete written and online tests End point assessment - The End Point Assessment is the final stage of the apprenticeship. It comprises written and practical tests as well as a professional dialogue and interview

Training Outcome:
The successful applicant may have a full time position at the end of the apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
The working hours are 40 per week, mostly office hours but does require some flexibility (normally 8.00am - 5.00pm).
