Vehicle Damage Paint Apprentice

Ensuring all parts are stripped from the vehicle in order for it to be painted Sanding down relevant areas and adjoining areas for blending Masking out areas that will need to be treated

Specific skills and knowledge gained:

Health and safety procedures in a workshop environment. Proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment Preparation techniques for different surfaces (including plastic) Application of various top and primer finishes Defect rectification and masking techniques Understanding of paint types and colour matching Industry knowledge and how the business operates

Training:
You will be required to attend Sandwell College Central Campus (West Bromwich) once a week to work in the workshop.

Training Outcome:

To progress to a full-time position within the business.
