Engineering Operative Apprentice

Day-to-day role responsibilities will include:

Workshop:

Shadowing and working alongside pipe fabricators to understand how our processes work Working alongside someone to understand the different methods or cutting, drilling, and machining methods we use Using allocated time to work through college assignments Working with goods in to manoeuvre raw materials around workshop Learn the cutting methods we use Helping with painting finished products Helping with goods out to load deliveries

Office:

Working alongside Engineers to develop and gain understanding of drawings

Training:
The apprentice will be working towards the Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard This is a 12-18-month duration apprenticeship with college attendance required once per week at Colchester Institute's Braintree Campus, transport from Colchester campus provided

Training Outcome:

There would be an opportunity to work alongside our engineers to produce drawings, quote tenders, and develop computer skills.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm. Breaks at 10am - 10:30am & 1:00pm - 1:30pm each day.
