Healthcare Science Practitioner Apprentice (Radiotherapy Physics)

The main responsibilities are:

To contribute to the day-to-day work of the treatment planning section

To participate in quality control programme on treatment machines.

To assist with the work of the Mould Room Department

To fulfil the role of Operator as required by the Ionising Radiations (Medical Exposures) Regulations 2017.

Training:

The job is based at St.James' hospital but the educational component is provided by the University of West of England in Bristol University of the West of England Bristol 

There are 3,  5 day blocks each year at UWE with the rest of the time at the hospital site.

Training Outcome:

On completion of the 3 years successful candidates will be eligible to apply for the Register of Clinical Technologists.

Working Hours :
No weekend or evening working. No shifts. 37.5 hrs a week. Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
