Semi-Senior Accounts Apprentice
Reporting directly to the partner and being the primary point of contact for a number of clients responsibilities will include:
Preparing statutory financial statements for Limited companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships Preparation of Corporation tax computations and Returns Preparation of Self Assessment Tax Returns Ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines Bookkeeping - using systems to produce and review monthly and quarterly management accounts Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual budgets and forecasts for clients and monitoring actual performance against these. Review and submission of VAT returns Preparation of management accounts Supporting junior members of the teamTraining:
You will complete the level 4 Professional Accountant Programme on day release from the employer for 15-months.
Modules will include:
Applied Accounting Drafting Financial Statements Internal Accounting Systems Business Tax And Personal TaxAttending the EMA hub based in Derby for classroom sessions delivered by specialist trainers. You will be supported by a dedicated mentor through your portfolio of work and end point assessment.
Training Outcome:
Opportunity for a full-time position within the team upon completion of the apprenticeship programme.

The TAX Partnership are a small Accountancy firm and have been based in Derby city centre for 30 years. Our payroll and bookkeeping department has seen significant growth over recent years and are now appointing a trainee who is looking to start their career in finance. This is a ‘hands on’ position where you would gain valuable experience in all aspects of payroll management and bookkeeping.
Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
