Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship

Plans and supervises child initiated and adult led activities which are based around the needs and interests of each individual child Supports children to develop numeracy and language skills through games and play Has key person responsibility to help ensure each child feels safe and secure Observes each child and shapes their learning experience to reflect their observations Meets the care needs of the individual child such as feeding, changing nappies and administration of medicine Works in partnership with other colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of each child With additional experience, an Early Years Educator can become the manager of an early years setting Individuals will undergo all the checks as per the EYFS requirements to ensure suitability to work with children

Training:
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard is made up of the Diploma plus Functional Skills in maths and English and Paediatric First Aid certificate Training schedule has yet to be agreed Details will be made available at a later date

Training Outcome:
Learners can use this qualification to go into various care roles You can progress onto the advanced apprenticeship and work your way up in the nursery going into team leading and management roles You could also use your experience to go into teaching, nursing, midwifery, play work and social work There are many directions you can go with your apprenticeship should you wish

Monday- Friday Between: 8.00am- 6.00pm Includes 1 hour unpaid lunch
