Apprentice Building Services Engineer - Shinfield, Berkshire

Being an integral part of the project delivery team, specialising in technical services Developing and implementing MEP strategies on a project from pre-construction to post-completion Actively engaging with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, local communities, team members and suppliers Find solutions to any problems that arise in the construction phase Assisting in the procurement of the integral parts and packages associated with building services Advising the design teams on coordination and pre-fabrication of services within building design Assisting in planning and programming building services within the construction programme Management of subcontractors/ trades Management of health & safety on site Assisting with the production of monthly project audits and reports Delivering building service engineering for a range of different buildings and clients Commissioning management and witnessing Testing integrated systems, including building control sign-off Assist in gaining practical completion Managing project close-out and the defect period

Training:
On this programme you’ll work towards completing a Level 4 Building Services Engineering Senior Technician Apprenticeship Standard, where you’ll achieve a Level 4 qualification in Construction and Built Environment

Training Outcome:
Typically, you would advance onto a 3-year programme of training to gain a level 5 & 6 qualification Building Services Level 6 being a degree level

Employer Description:
CoTrain is a program under SECBE . As a shared apprenticeship scheme and a Flexible Job Apprenticeship Agency partly funded by CITB to provide a route into industry for anyone wishing to complete an apprenticeship. We employ and mentor the apprentice and place them with our construction partners and colleges to gain the correct experience & skills to complete their qualifications.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 5.00pm, working week with one day being spent at college to gain the qualifications for this apprenticeship. Some tasks may require additional hours, but this will always be confirmed beforehand with the apprentice.
