The Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer position in Clacton On Sea will be responsible for:
Leading the design and development of digital, analogue and RF hardware products and providing design support to more junior engineers
Working with Product Management to define product / design specifications
Creating detailed schematics and PCB layouts using Altium designer
Developing and executing test plans for prototypes and final products
Working closely with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, test, NPI and manufacturing to ensure efficient delivery of projects
As the Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer, you will need to have:
Experience in hardware design and development
Expertise in high-speed signal design, RF, power management, and EMI/EMC considerations.
Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer
Experience within the test and measurement sector

Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings, including electrical schematics and mechanical component blueprints
Manufacture and assemble electrical control panels for high-performance door systems
Build and assemble speed door drums, motor units, and bespoke shutter systems
Participate in the complete build and testing of curtain and door equipment
Gain exposure to onsite installation, servicing, and repairs alongside experienced service engineers
Understand and support the end-to-end process of delivering complex door systems, including international installations (limited travel required)
Training:
Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering

In this role you will:
Work within the procedures as laid down in the companies Quality Management System
Producing some cable looms and wiring harness
Assembly of electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies into finished systems
Conducting factory acceptance testing, including identification, reporting and rectification of defects
Installing PLC based software
Working to company drawing, schematics and work instructions
Maintaining accurate production and test records in accordance with the quality system requirements
Working to company schematics and work instructions
Testing PCB's
Providing the relevant tests on various sub-assemblies
Training:This is a Level 3 Mechatronics Apprenticeship delivered over 4 years. For the first 20 months of your apprenticeship you will attend In-Comm Training 12 Vigo Pl, Aldridge, Walsall WS9 8UG 2 and a half days per week, you will be at the company for the remaining time.
