The Production Technician is paying £27,000 - £28,000 per Annum.
Working Monday to Friday 7:30am-4pm.
Duties for the Production Technician:
- Operate plant and equipment to mix, manufacture, transfer, and pack product.
- Packaging of finished products to company standards
- Handling / manufacturing products and raw materials
- Use of manual handling equipment available for moving heavy materials
- Maintain high levels of hygiene and housekeeping
- Ensure that when products are transferred to other Departments, they are in a suitable fit for purpose condition that meets the customers expectations.
- Dealing with reports and paperwork to a high standard
To be a Successful Production Technician:

As a Process Technician, you will:
Perform all duties in compliance with all Venator Corporate and Venator Pigments EHS, business conduct policies, guidelines and the local site Life Saving Rules at all times. Complete all Corporate Compliance training.
Monitor and control the operation of process plants to ensure that process parameters are maintained within accepted limits.
Analyse minor processing and equipment problems in order effect solutions.

Training:Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
Year one will be based full time at Stocksbridge Training Centre
Year two onwards will be day release at the Advanced Training Centre - Olive Grove Road, Sheffield
Training Outcome:
Upon sucessful completion of the apprenticeship there may be the opportunity of a full time permanent position

While this role is primarily office-based, you’ll have a strong link to our workshop and practical activities, gaining a deep understanding of how repairs are carried out. You’ll work towards a Level 3 qualification as an Engineering Support Technician, supported by our expert team and dedicated training partner.
You’ll gain valuable experience in:
Engineering cost estimation and analysis
Quality and process control
Planning and budgeting for engineering projects
Problem-solving within a real-world industrial setting
What we’re looking for:
3 predicted or achieved National 5s (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including Maths and English
A desire to learn and build a long-term career in engineering
Excellent communication and time management skills
A flexible and motivated mindset
An eye for detail and a passion for continuous improvement
