A great chance for the right candidate to be welcomed into our company and learn the trade of a scaffolder. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. You’ll learn the skills needed to become a fully qualified scaffolder, supporting the safe erection, alteration, and dismantling of scaffolding on a variety of sites.
During your apprenticeship, you’ll gain skills and knowledge in:
Tube and fitting and system scaffolding
Working at height safely
Risk assessments and site safety
Manual handling and safe loading practices
Reading and interpreting scaffold drawings
Industry-standard procedures and regulations
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation, transportation, and loading/unloading of scaffolding equipment
Erect and dismantle scaffolding structures under supervision
Follow technical drawings, site plans, and health and safety regulations
Use a variety of tools and access equipment safely and correctly
Support experienced scaffolders on site, learning industry best practices
Keep work areas clean and tidy, and help with site setup and maintenance
Adhere to safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times
Engage with training, reviews, and complete off-the-job learning with the training provider
Training:
You will be working towards a Level 2 Scaffolder Apprenticeship Standard
Functional Skills in Maths and English if not previously attained
Block release training at Weston College Construction Training Centre
Work-based learning assessor visits
Some of your working week will be given to complete off-the-job training
Full in-house training
Training Outcome:To become a part 2 scaffolder and then gain experience in becoming fully competent at that level.
