2–5 years’ practical experience in planning/procurement/logistics operations — ideally in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Hands-on experience creating and managing purchase orders end-to-end in an ERP system (NAV Dynamics, NetSuite (or equivalent).

Specific Duties:
Order Book Management:
Responsibility for complete order book management. Ie. expediting orders, cancelling, increasing or reducing order quantities where appropriate
Receive and file order acknowledgements to ensure that Purchase Orders aren’t missed or lost by suppliers
Issue ‘outstanding order reports’ to suppliers to ensure that vendor order books are aligned with Baron Storage Systems ERP system
Maintain accurate expected order dates within the ERP system so that orders can be effectively tracked and customers easily updated
Book in and Good-Receive Purchase Orders on the ERP system.

Set and maintain appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels to ensure that stock availability for customers is above target and space in the warehouse is fully utilised
Communicate regularly with the warehouse to support their smooth operations and space constraints
React to changes in demand trends to limit, as much as possible the number of SKUs going into back order
Operations Support:
Responsible for proactively updating the Operations team (on a daily basis), informing them in advance of goods that are not going to be ready to send to key corporate customers, so that they can be left off outbound advance shipping notes
Work closely with Operations and the Warehouse teams to plan supplier deliveries into timed delivery slots to assist with warehouse resource planning
Complete Advance Shipping Notes and maintain the ‘goods-In’ calendar so that the business is well informed of the goods that it is due to received
Other duties:
After approval by the Procurement Director (or other Directors in the business) raise ad-hoc Purchase Orders as requested, such as; non-product-related items, services and spot-buys
Work with the Operations and Commercial teams to resolve any quality issues that are believed to be caused to supply chain or supplier errors, getting products reworked, credit notes or replacements as is appropriate

Manage and monitor supply chain performance so as to ensure that all relevant KPIs and any other associated performance related targets are maintained or exceeded and to personally address any shortfalls
Ensure that all staff engaged in the management of Fire hold relevant and up to date qualifications or training
Across the portfolio, actively assist in the development and delivery of in-house training as and where required
At Maintained School premises only, in regard to other non-Fire statutory compliance, maintain an up-to-date schedule of each Maintained Schools’ general compliance requirements and delivery against program, and ensure that a comprehensive database of current asset data and risk information is maintained
At Maintained School premises only, support, advise, assist and liaise as required with those staff responsible for discharging the duty to manage both Fire and non-Fire statutory compliance
For Maintained School premises in breach of either Fire of general statutory compliance delivery, operate a 3 strike warning system before assuming control of delivery via the WCC FM contract
To identify, appoint and control input from third party suppliers in accordance with departmental objectives
To prepare contract briefs and associated contract documentation, including regular progress reports to Key Stakeholders including contract performance, spend to budget and KPIs
To be responsible for developing and implementing Communication, Procurement, Planning and Finance Plans / KPIs and strategies for each contract (where appropriate)
