A growing Medical Devices company based in Cambridge is currently looking for a new Quality Assurance Specialist to assist in the development of the QMS system for ISO 13485 standards. They are open to candidates from alternative sectors, allowing for ISO 13485 standards training.
You will also be creating and managing technical files for several Medical Devices lines, including Class I, Class IIa and Class IIb Medical Devices. You’ll collaborate with a number of Medical Devices experts, but you will be the sole person focusing on Quality Assurance duties. However, you will receive Quality Assurance assistance from the parent company’s Quality Assurance Manager. Due to this, we are open to candidates who only have a couple of years of experience of ISO 9001 or QMS, but also keen to hear from people with more experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone a couple of years into their career and looking for more responsibility to lead the development of a QMS system, or for someone who is looking for a route into the Medical Devices sector under ISO 13485 standards. Due to the active work in setting up the QMS system, you will need to be in the office daily; however, over time there should be the opportunity for hybrid working.

To participate in Drop-in Days and Staff Inductions to help employees discuss any queries they have regarding their pay
To work with the Trust on new IT solutions relating to pay including E-Rostering and ESR Manager Self Service
To undertake training with development to enable purpose to be fulfilled to highest standard
To undertake any other duties which may be reasonably regarded as within the nature of the duties, responsibilities and grade of the post defined, subject to the proviso that appropriate training and support is given
Training:The Level 3 Payroll Administrator standard is delivered in two elements; the CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) knowledge units and work based projects designed by the provider, to meet employer needs.
The knowledge units outlined below are delivered via the CIPP online learning platform:
National Insurance
PAYE
Statutory Sick Pay (SSP)
Statutory Parental Leave
Statutory Deductions
The last three months of the qualification will entail completing the following as part of the End Point Assessment:

Liaising with customers and sub-contractors to establish an excellent after sales/maintenance response to all complaints/queries.
Answering calls and e-mails from customers regarding their property repairs, dealing with them empathetically, professionally and positively, ensuring their queries are answered and resolved within the agreed timescales.
Logging defect repairs in the system and maintaining accurate records including solutions.
Assisting the team to prepare informative and accurate reports for meetings as required.
General administration duties to support the team.
Training:As part of your apprenticeship programme you will be enrolled on the Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship, which will be delivered by our training partner Smart Training and Recruitment.
The programme is 15 months long and you will study online, spending one day per week working towards achieving your qualification. This could be attending a virtual classroom lesson or workshop, having 1:1 meeting with your tutor, completing online resources, completing research, or working on evidence to put in your portfolio.
You will also meet regularly with your coach and your line manager to ensure you are progressing through your programme as expected.
