Collaborate with the plant as well as corporate functions/departments to determine where the most significant areas of improvement exist and develop projects from those opportunities. Develop, prioritize, and execute continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the organization's goals and plant objectives. Assess, monitor, maintain, and enhance business performance by analyzing current practices, developing business process improvements, implementing changes in workflows, structures, and teams to ensure continuous company performance. Plan, facilitate, and execute continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools, provide support for plant level initiatives, and participate in Kaizen events on the production floor in support of Tremco's MS168 philosophies. Provide support to the production staff to ensure that implemented lean principles are understood and implement change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of process improvements. Lead cross functional work teams focused on identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to provide sustainable improvements that meet/exceed expectations. Conduct semi-Annual Audits Read, research, interpret, and analyze data on current processes, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Leverage knowledge of tiered governance systems, Kaizen, 5S, visual management and SMED to assist sites in improving efficiencies by evaluating process and practice from various perspectives. Influence and motivate others to attend to, participate in and own local continuous improvement efforts and initiatives. Lead cross-functional improvement projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet predefined objectives. Develop, monitor, and communicate project plans, timelines, and budgets with key stakeholders. provide supportive project management expertise and monthly savings tracking, key performance indicators, and reporting. Teach, lead and coach cross-functional teams on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies. Use data analytics such as statistical process control, process capability analysis, and correlation to make data driven decisions while demonstrating quantitative improvement/impact. Prepare, review, and analyze operational data, reports, and metrics to generate insights, identify trends, isolate bottlenecks, and make informed decisions. Build a culture of continuous improvement by promoting awareness and buy-in at all levels of the organization. Develop and maintain comprehensive performance dashboards and reports. Stay current with industry best practices, emerging trends, and technologies related to continuous improvement and benchmark against industry peers and incorporate best practices into the organization.
Education: & Experience:
Bachelor's degree, Process Management, or Operations, with concentration in Engineering preferred. Four to seven years related experience and/or training Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred in Chemical Manufacturing and/or batch manufacturing operations. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and effectively present information and respond to questions from diverse groups. Solve Practical problems where only limited standardization exists. Interprets instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Work with mathematical concepts and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Preferred Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification. Must be able to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

Job Purpose
The Controller, PCG North America a newly created role and will be a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial integrity and operational effectiveness of the region's (primarily US and Canada) finance organization. This individual will play a central role in driving standardization and optimization of core financial processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the financial landscape. This will be done alongside the objective of achieving a single accounting location designation from an audit perspective. The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical accounting acumen (USGAAP and company policies), process improvement expertise, and strong leadership to support the company's strategic growth. This role will have direct reports, consisting of a Controller from each operating company in North America.
This position is not remote and requires a minimum of 3 days per week on site at our Maple Shade, New Jersey location. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance or willing to relocate.
Principal Accountabilities

Process Standardization & Optimization
In collaboration with the PCG Controller and Director of Global Accounting Processes, lead efforts to standardize financial processes and procedures across the North American region for P2P, O2C, and R2R cycles. Design and implementation of control environment to achieve a single accounting location designation from an audit perspective. Partner with business process owners to align regional practices with global standards and best practices. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging automation and digital tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Leverage the maximize the utilization and effectiveness of the Global Service Centers (GSC) when appropriate.
Financial Close & Reporting
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process (R2R), ensuring timely and accurate reporting in compliance with US GAAP, and local requirements as applicable. Manage balance sheet integrity and provide analytical insight into variances and trends. Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful audit outcomes. Oversee, navigate, and communicate complex accounting policies and procedures to the accounting and finance department as well as other business stakeholders.
Transaction Cycle Oversight
Drive accountability and control across the Procure-to-Pay process, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, and payments. Oversee Order-to-Cash activities, including billing, collections, and revenue recognition in coordination with commercial teams. Partner with operations, procurement, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure finance processes support and enable business performance.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks (SOX), identifying and mitigating financial risks. Document and continuously improve finance-related standard operating procedures (SOPs) in line with the industry's best practices.
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead, mentor, and develop a regional finance team, fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Promote cross-functional alignment between finance, manufacturing operations, and shared service centers to ensure seamless financial process execution.
Experience |Education | Certifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred. Minimum of 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, preferably in a global manufacturing environment. Deep knowledge of financial transaction cycles (P2P, O2C, R2R) and experience leading process standardization and transformation efforts. Experience developing KPIs and dashboards to monitor the health of financial processes (P2P, O2C, R2R) and drive continuous improvement. Strong understanding of US GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory valuation in a manufacturing context. Perform mechanical repairs on a wide range of production machinery including plastic moulding machines, grinders, heat treatment furnaces, and assembly lines.Conduct fault finding and breakdown diagnostics across various plant equipment.Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with site schedules.Install, maintain, and commission plant and machinery.Work from detailed machine and schematic drawings, particularly pneumatic systems.Carry out fabrication and sheet metal work as required.Perform welding and brazing tasks to support maintenance needs.Maintain production equipment to the required company standards.Operate and work with precision tools such as micrometres, Verniers, and slip gauges.Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Adhere to all health and safety procedures, using appropriate PPE and reporting any non-conformances.
Desirable (but not essential):
Basic electrical fault finding ability would be advantageous.
