Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies such as frames, folding mechanisms, and drive systems
Create robust CAD models and technical drawings using SolidWorks
Conduct tolerance analysis, DFM reviews, and generate supporting documentation
Lead design validation testing, FMEA processes, and real-world trials
Work directly with UK and overseas suppliers to ensure manufacturability and production readiness
Support tooling design, inspection planning, and production implementation
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous design improvements
What You'll Need:
Ideally a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline
Extensive experience in SolidWorks and mechanical assembly design
Strong knowledge of injection moulding, metal fabrication, CNC machining, and prototyping

Perform inspections/ quality checks on manufactured components and raw materials
Ensure non-conformances of work products, processes, and project activities are identified, recorded, and communicated to interested parties - tracked, resolved, and further prevented (Root cause analysis/ 8D investigation)
