The apprentice will work under the supervision of several engineers and BIM technicians on the delivery of Bridge and Civil Structure engineering projects. They will be involved with projects for a variety of clients to help achieve their objectives and improve the quality of life of their customers. Typical tasks and activities include:
Contributing to designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and final working drawings under the close supervision of an engineer.
Drafting technical reports discussing assessment or management of existing structures and the design of new structures.
Preparing drawings and 3D models of structures within various software platforms under the supervision of BIM technicians and managers.
Taking part in on-site inspections of structural assets such as bridges and retaining walls both to report on their condition as-well as to take measurements of elements.
Undertake a supporting role to Project Managers, assisting with document management including drawing registers, hard copy and electronic drawing filing and document issuing (including online collaboration sites).

Following site health & safety policies and procedures at all times and assist the Site Engineer to implement and enforce all relevant health & safety procedures, risk assessments, and compliance with the company’s SHEQ systems
Supporting execution of work activities on site, ensuring they conform to programme, technical specification, and quality standards
Contributing to the measurement and reporting of site productivity, performance, and operational efficiency
Assisting in continuous improvement initiatives to boost site performance and operational effectiveness
Maintain and update the site diary and records, ensuring accurate documentation of day-to-day site activities
Support site operations to maximise effectiveness — helping manage resources, materials, and labour in line with project programme and budget constraints

As part of our workshop team, you'll be involved in everything from assembling and wiring electrical components to testing systems and learning how to spot faults before they become problems. You'll get to grips with a variety of hand and power tools and build your understanding of how different systems work.

As a design and draughtsperson, you'll produce detailed drawings, models and specs to guide the manufacture and maintenance of state-of-the-art maritime vessels and infrastructure. Focusing on electrical, mechanical or structural design, you'll work on varied projects including submarine and warship refits. Duties will include:
• Issue PCNs to vehicles that are parked in contravention of the parking regulations
• Record evidence and observations to monitor vehicles parking
• Report any equipment that is in need of repair, so we can get it fixed as quickly as possible
• Report other problems with the signs, lined or activity on street
• Report abandoned vehicles to management
The candidate we need must be an excellent communicator with previous enforcement experience of 6 months or more, you will have an eye for detail along with experience of working with computerised systems.
This role will require you to hold either the City and Guilds / NVQ or Wamitab certificate in Parking Enforcement
You will be required to work 40 + hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a rota’d basis.
This role of Civil Enforcement Officer will pay £17 an hour via umbrella.
