Main Duties:
Disassemble stage, blank and progressive press tools
Operating surface grinder and general tool room machines
An appreciation of all aspects of tool room machining and specialising in any one area
To operate to an acceptable level and consistently demonstrate improvements
Organise your workload effectively
Understanding engineering drawings for producing and inspecting tooling
To attain an acceptable standard of work and quality within a reasonable timescale
Work in accordance with current health and safety regulations
Training:Working towards a Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard qualification:
You will study and be mentored in the workplace and at Appris, Bradford to become a fully-skilled Engineering Technician.

On arrival to the site and before proceeding with any works, ensure contractors are handed the contractors code of conduct and have read, understood and signed the asbestos register (where applicable).
Ensure before any contractor proceeds with any work to site, that they have completed or produced the required documentation, such as general work permit, hot work permit, risk assessments, public liability insurance etc.

The Role
A typical week consists of 48hrs Sunday to Thursday.
You will be leading and supporting a team of merchandisers and replenishers carrying out tasks required by the client.
Communicate with management on progress and end of project sign off.
Carry out health and safety inductions and checks.
Shift lengths are generally 12 hours, days and nights (predominately nights). Access to available assignments will be on your smartphone via our Field Power platform where you can set your availability and accept shifts.
You will be required to clock in and out using your smart phone via our RAS Dashboard.
Work will be carried out on different retail customer sites / stores and travel will vary on a shift-by-shift basis.
You will be required to carry out the following:
Removing and replacing stock with the use of client plans and systems.
Adjusting shelf heights.
Moving stock from the warehouse onto the shop floor, with use of roll cages and pallet trucks.
Stock replenishment.
Travelling will be involved when local work is not available. Accommodation will be provided when required to stay away.
