The Role: Trainee Test Technician:
- To carry out Structural Testing and Analysis of Lighting Columns throughout the UK for local councils, highways and the rail network.
- Undertaking the structural testing of lampposts using machinery and test equipment (Digger/cherry picker type arms)

The nature of roles and responsibilities for this role may include:
Working directly with pupils of all ages
Support/lead extra-curricular activities
Assist with school games competitions & events
Run/organise and support physical activity and engagement at break and lunch times
Support the delivery of our holiday camp provision
Supporting the delivery of high quality and inclusive PE lessons to pupils in schools in line with the requirements of national curriculum for PE and the profile of needs across the pupil population
Administration tasks related to planning and evaluating coaching activities/projects
Safeguard children at all times
Contribute to raising standards by ensuring high expectations are shared with children
Supervise and support pupils ensuring their safety, by complying with good H&S practice
Support the teachers and coaches in managing pupil behaviour, reporting difficulties as appropriate
Attend training sessions as required for CPD purposes
Training:Our apprentices will receive weekly off the job training hours in order to engage with masterclasses, skills festival days, assignments and tasks related to the apprenticeship, online CPD courses and development sessions with their allocated skills coach.

The Production Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations of the production area for designated shift. Maintain safe and productive working environment as well as meet product quality expectations.
Responsibilities:
Assist in selection, training, coordination and assignment/re-assignment of associates to maximize the effectiveness of personnel. Work closely with human resources and other supervisors to ensure plant policies are adhered to, and disciplinary action is both appropriate and consistent. Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring that all plant policies and practices are adhered to. Take action to correct unsafe conditions, and lead safety efforts. Develop and/or implement procedures and processes that ensure quality standards are consistently achieved. Through continued emphasis on housekeeping standards and practices, develop and maintain a professional, neat and well-organized area. Through coordination with maintenance, appropriate assignment of crews, and implementation of improvement projects, optimize productivity of packaging equipment. Ensure that all performance data (line sheets, time sheets, etc.) is completed in an accurate and timely manner. Work closely with compounding, schedulers and packaging inventory analyst to ensure production schedules are met, and both equipment and human resources are optimized.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, production or operations management. 3-5 years' experience in required field. The Apprentice CNC Machinist will spend time within the machine shop and will learn about CNC milling and CNC turning. The apprentice will be involved with manufacturing aerospace components made from aluminium, stainless and mild steel.
The apprentice will operate within the mandatory customer and internal specifications and inspect products accordingly. The Apprentice CNC Machinist will learn how to effectively and safely operate and setup 3-axis CNC machining centres, and lathes.
Key Deliverables:
Perform tool setting, machine maintenance, machine loading, de-burring of components, loading CNC program of components, inspection of components and updating of system to achieve current status of workload
To understand and interpret Engineering drawings including GD&T and to use a range of standard and special measuring equipment as well as working closely with QC to achieve high ‘First off’ pass rates and to liaise with QC to resolve issues and eliminate repeat failures
To have an understanding of cutting tool and component materials and their effect on productivity. The importance of correct tool selection, an understanding of cutting tool conditions including rigidity, speeds, feeds, lubrication and their application and effect. Also, to understand tool failure and to recognise causes and take appropriate action to rectify
To understand and apply safe and appropriate work holding methods and techniques to satisfy component requirements, including manual and automatic chucks, vices, direct clamping (to machine tables) and special jigs and fixtures
Verify the conformity of parts, assemblies and sub-assemblies in line with engineering drawings, the quality management system and any special customer requirements
Identify and report non-conformance as per the Company procedure
Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and Health Safety Environment policies and procedures
Requirements:
Able to work within tight time scales whilst maintaining and promoting quality standards
