School Sport Coaches design and deliver coaching programmes that focus on the acceleration of sustainable mastery of children’s psychomotor skills and wider physical education standards. They profile children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development needs. They measure psychomotor, technical and tactical skills in a range of physical activity contexts drawn from the Department for Education’s National Curriculum to enable physical education targets to be agreed.
These results are used to create a high-level curriculum plan that considers school term schedules and a ‘whole child’ development approach.
Duties will include:
Supporting the delivery of high quality and inclusive PE lessons to pupils in school in line with the requirements of the national curriculum for PE
Support/lead extra-curricular activities and clubs
Assist with school games competitions & events
Run/organise and support physical activity and engagement at break and lunch times

We are looking for an enthusiastic outdoor apprentice who is keen to gain experience in delivering high quality outdoor learning experiences to join our growing team and work with us to deliver part of the school’s outdoor education activities and curriculum we provide.
Primary teaching subjects will be to teach Maths and English to our young people through Functional Skills Entry level to Level 2 in an innnovative way through using the vocational subjects we offer and the outdoors alongside traditional teaching methods.
Plan, deliver, evaluate and assess lessons on Maths and English and support the teaching team with areas to embed these subjects in our other vocational subjects.
Dependent on schedule and school on roll numbers you maybe required to support our wider vocational subjects and teaching.
Education or group interventions according to curriculum/AQA/BTEC requirements. Complete BTEC and AQA assessments and paperwork to ensure students are gaining correct qualifications.
Support ADO RV students with careers support if relevant to the subjects being taught.
Lead at least one activity club session a week during school hours and support lunch cover as needed.

3. Behaviour Management:
Contribute to the implementation of an effective behaviour management strategy, applying it consistently and fairly.

4. Community Engagement:
Develop positive relationships with parents, carers, and families by adopting a partnership approach.
