Teach Plus are currently working with a 2-form entry, ‘Outstanding’ primary school located in Twickenham, who are seeking teaching assistant to support in EYFS.
The school have a fantastic reputation within the local community, they are able to offer lots of opportunities for further training and career development. The role would be to support the class teachers in EYFS with general Teaching Assistant duties, as well as delivering Phonics sessions to children on a one to one or small group basis. You will also be required to support children with SEND where necessary.
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant you will be expected to:
Establish positive relationships with the pupils, parents, class teachers and other members of staff across the school
Support the class teacher with the day to day running of the classroom, planning activities and resources for the classroom
Deliver interventions in Phonics to small groups of children
Support children with SEND on a one-to-one basis where needed
The ideal candidate for the EYFS Teaching Assistant role will have:
Experience supporting children with SEND
Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
Experience working with EYFS aged pupils, however, this is not essential
Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service

Your Responsibilities
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs):Developing and implementing personalized learning plans tailored to each student's unique needs and abilities.
Classroom Management: Maintaining a structured and positive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and learning.
Collaboration: Working closely with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a consistent approach to each student's education and well-being.
Continuous Assessment: Regularly evaluating student progress and adjusting teaching strategies to meet evolving needs.
Required Qualifications
A Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)or equivalent qualification, emphasizing special education.
Experience or specialized training in working with children with Autism, SEMH, and Learning Disabilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and families.

Requirements:
A level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma or equivalent specific to children's residential care
You must be 21 years of age or older
Social care experience with challenging behaviours at senior level in either Adult or Children's social care
Good knowledge of Ofsted
A successful track record of shift leading teams within children's homes.
Experience with and a passion for working with children and young people
