AV Commissioning Engineer – This position will see you working with the Lead av engineer, PM & other junior AV engineers to get you what you need to be able to commission any systems in the timeframe laid out by the PM. You should be hands on but also able to delegate so you can concentrate on commissioning whenever needed. The role will be an evolving position responding to the requirements of the company, however the main duties will include:
Working closely with the AV Project manager, engineers & third party teams to get you what you need to commission ahead of attending site.
Working with the lead av engineer to ensure equipment is correctly setup before you get to site otherwise you may be required to do this, ie AVRs, screens etc.
Commissioning of Cinema surround systems/DSPs
Programming of Savant Systems
Programming of Lutron Homeworks QS, QSX, Ra2
Commissioning of Crestron (use of toolbox, debugger)
Programming of Crestron
Working with PM to produce I/O lists/Help with engineering schematics as they are produced
Front line support with PM for clients after system is handed over or in finishing stages when client may be calling, messaging etc
Good understanding of Networks, Vlans, able to use a laptop, VPN etc to diagnose issues with systems, able to setup static IPs on equipment & commission systems out of the box from default IPs

The role will be split between site work and the office base in Clapham.
Your principal involvement will be with theMetallurgy and Steelwork Inspection departments, but it is planned for you to spend time in other departments including the Construction Materials, and Building Inspection and Investigation departments. In all cases full training will be given and the level of involvement in the different areas will grow as training and competence develops.
In addition to building on general laboratory techniques, you will learn to perform specific tests along with metallurgical techniques, mechanical testing and measurement of properties. Additionally, there will be site-based work where you will develop inspection techniques, gain experience in further testing types as well as the practicalities of site testing and taking site notes.
Lab Based
Preparation of samples from bulk materials to sample ready for testing
Undertaking testing such as strength, compression
Use of general workshop machines including band saws, drills and linishers
Assisting with project investigations
Site Based
Coating and corrosion inspection especially of steel members
Sampling for later testing at the lab
Carbonation testing (chemical testing of concrete)
Support consultants, inspectors and technicians in recording site information, locations and details of issues
The role will give you real insight into the use of materials within construction, and the issues that can arise. You will be working with experienced professionals who are normally more than happy to share information and answer technical questions. As an apprentice, you will be highly trained to work in the world of Engineering and Manufacturing in the Food Industry Sector the world’s leading supplier of Food Packaging Machines and Equipment.
The initial training and development phase will provide broad-based exposure to various aspects of electrical engineering within food packaging systems and production lines.
Following this phase, the successful candidate will be appointed as an Electrical Project Engineer, with a focus on the electrical functional design of automation systems. This role involves using proprietary software and engineering tools to create detailed electrical designs, which will be implemented, installed, and commissioned at customer sites.
The roles mentioned above will feature a range different engineering activities aligned to the job roles with a detailed development plan for the four years of their apprenticeship programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in designing control panels, wiring layouts, and PLC integration of both Ishida manufactured equipment and OEM suppliers.

Help maintain accurate as-built drawings and manuals for electrical systems.

Process and interpret various wireline logging data (NMR, televiewer image logs, flow, sonic, micro-seismic, borehole deviation, etc) with minimal supervision.
Maintain, calibrate, and test geophysical logging equipment.
Perform wireline geophysical logging operations on land or water in the UK and overseas.

Complete and submit necessary project documentation related to field activities.
Ensure safe and efficient execution of mobilisations and field operations.
Assist with wireline equipment logistics during project mobilisations/demobilisations.
Inspect and rebuild wireline cable heads on logging winches.
Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of wireline logging equipment pre- and post-mobilisation.
Follow radiation protection procedures on projects requiring gamma-gamma density and neutron porosity logging methods.
QC field data during acquisition and post-processing/reporting phases.
Assist with deployment and operation of sampling/testing equipment.
Participate in required role and site-specific training courses.
Support training Junior Wireline Engineers on geophysical logging equipment.
What you’ll need to thrive in this role:
Essential: Degree in Geophysics or related field, experience in wireline geophysical logging, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally. A Full UK Manual driving license is required.
