As an Auto Electrician, you will install, repair, and maintain electronic systems in emergency service vehicles, including wiring, lighting, AV systems, telematics, and mobile CCTV. Training and mentoring will ensure youre ready to deliver excellent service independently.
You will be responsible for:
? Install Blue Light Systems in response vehicles, including programming, fault finding, and repairs.

? IMI Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification.
? Understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair procedures.

Whilst on site at Concentric during your apprenticeship, you will join a team of experienced engineers to gain knowledge and experience across a wide range of areas.
You will learn to:
Assist in preventative, predictive and routine maintenance work
Identify and ensure critical spares are stocked and reordered
Co-ordinate with suppliers to supply spare parts for machines
Carry out TPM (Preventative Maintenance) schedules
Carry out the maintenance of plant machinery, electrically or mechanically (depending on your role)
Identify and liaise with suppliers of maintenance services when required
Investigate maintenance problems affecting production and identify improvements
Maintain and record work and machine breakdown history
Assist and learn from experienced electrical/ mechanical workers to help build skillset
Focus strongly on safety, knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems and building good mechanical/electrical systems
Work within and abide by the company policies
Training:Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll work towards several academic and vocational qualification levels throughout your time with us, which are fully paid for, including:
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Foundation Competence - in year 1, in 6 week blocks to include 4 weeks at Make UK and 2 weeks in company
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Competence - in years 2 to 4 in company
Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Knowledge - in Years 2 & 3 on block release to Make UK
In house training in line with your requirements
Further qualifications deemed necessary by your employer
On completion of your studies, you will achieve your full apprenticeship certification that will prove competence as a Level 3 Engineering Technician
Training Outcome:
Once you have completed the apprenticeship programme, you will be given the opportunity to join the maintenance team as a fully qualified maintenance engineer, however development doesn’t stop there

Role:
