Machinists in the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering sector are predominantly involved in highly skilled, complex and precision work, machining components from specialist materials using conventional and/or CNC machine tools such as centre lathes, vertical and horizontal milling machines, horizontal and cylindrical grinding machines, electro discharge machines, single and multi-axis CNC machine tools centres.
They will be expected to be able set-up, operate and adjust/edit equipment settings as applicable to the machine tool being used. When using CNC equipment they will be expected to be able to produce, prove and/or edit programmes. During and on completion of the machining operations they will be expected to measure and check the components being produced and make adjustments to the equipment/programme to ensure components meet the required specification.
After a period of foundation skills and technical knowledge development, all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:
Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
Level 2 Diploma in Machining (Foundation Knowledge)
After a further period of skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:
Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Machining

The broad purpose of the occupation is to carry out metal fabrication work using sheet metal, handtools and automated equipment.
Work includes manufacturing sheet metal enclosures and ductwork. The size and weight of the fabrications can range from components that can easily be picked up by hand, to larger structures that require lifting equipment to move.
In their daily work, the apprentice will be interacting with the production planner, supervisors, inspectors, designers, stores personnel, painters and many others involved in manufacturing, production.
An employee in this occupation will be responsible for the quality and accuracy of their own work whilst ensuring it conforms to a relevant specification, such as an engineering drawing or an international standard. Fabricators are also responsible for the health, safety and environmental (HS&E) protection of themselves and others around them.
Work safely at all times, complying with health and safety legislation, regulations, organisational and environmental requirements.

Plan and prepare for the METAL fabrication activities before commencing work
Check materials conform to the specified grades, dimensions and thicknesses identified on detailed engineering drawings.

Cutting, drilling, shaping and preparing METAL materials during fabrication activities using manual and power tools, thermal and laser cutting, as required calculating dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments/equipment
Operate appropriate tools and equipment to join metal parts using a range of mechanical fasteners and fixing techniques required by the specifications appropriate to the fabrication activity being carried out and in accordance with approved joining procedures and quality requirements

As a Chemical Physicist, you will be utilising your scientific experience to design and develop test rigs and protocols to deliver meaningful conclusions that will shape the future development and manufacturing of fluidics-based devices.
This will include the testing of key systems and their sub-systems as well as all data logging solutions. Use various methods to generate sales enquiries including Cold calling, Trade Shows, Networking and Door to door methods.
Develop sales strategies in line with the companies objectives
Work to personal and team targets
Work closely with Estimators to ensure opportunities are quoted for in a timely and accurate fashion

A leading electronics technology company is seeking an Industrial Product Designer to join their growing team. This hybrid role, based in Bologna, offers the opportunity to design and develop innovative physical products within the professional audio technology sector.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Industrial Product Designer, you will take creative ownership of the physical design function and play a key role in shaping the look, feel, and form of world-class audio hardware. Responsibilities include:
Leading the design and development of 3D concepts and prototypes for advanced audio products.
Using tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Onshape to deliver visually compelling and technically feasible designs.
Collaborating closely with engineers, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment of aesthetics with function and brand identity.
Contributing to user-centred design approaches, ergonomics, and manufacturing constraints.
Supporting the prototyping and validation process through close liaison with mechanical and electronics teams.
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in an industrial/product design role, ideally within electronics or audio hardware sectors.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Onshape, SolidWorks, or similar, and Adobe Creative Suite for visualisation.
A strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking, form development, and user-oriented solutions.
Experience working from concept through to production, including knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
