We do not expect you to have experience in all of these areas; they are just a few examples of the challenges you may encounter.

You Will Be Responsible For:
* You will act as the main contact for all technical service duties, covering upkeep, restoration, setup, and issue resolution.
* Carrying out planned maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems
* Maintaining accurate service records and job updates via mobile devices
* Managing van stock efficiently and ensuring all tools and materials are available for assigned work
* Ensuring work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards
* Supporting colleagues in the field when required
* Providing excellent service to customers and representing the company professionally at all times
What We Are Looking For:
* Previously worked as a Service Technician, Field Service Technician, Field Service Engineer, Field Engineer, Field Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Dooe Service Technician, Dooe Service Engineer, Installation Engineer, Automatic Door Engineer, Roller Shutter Engineer, Industrial Door Engineer, Door Engineer or in a similar role.
* Prior field service experience preferably in mechanical or electrical environment.
* Ideally have experience with roller shutters and automatic doors
* Skilled in diagnosing faults and carrying out equipment repairs
* Confident using tablets or mobile devices for job management
* Full UK driving licence

Project Engineer - Manufacturing Design – Implantable Medical Devices - Cambridge
An exciting opportunity awaits you to join a rapidly growing Medical Devices division and contribute to the development of innovative Implantable Medical Technologies. We are seeking a Senior or Principal Project Engineer who has previously worked as a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in designing production and manufacturing systems within the Medical Devices, Biotechnology or Sciences industries.
Ideally, you will have a degree in Manufacturing, mechanical or process engineering, while having Manufacturing or Process Engineering experience designing in 3D CAD while also having a background in maintaining production machinery.
You will support design teams across multiple functions, with a particular focus on Design for Manufacturing (DFM). The role involves building prototypes and testing new rigs to ensure medical devices function correctly and can be manufactured efficiently. Supply Chain experience would be highly advantageous.
Given the size of the group, we need someone willing to engage in designing, building, and testing systems, as well as maintaining production machinery. As the group expands, this role will evolve, providing excellent opportunities for career advancement.
You will be expected to take leadership of various projects as they arise, whilst also collaborating effectively within teams depends on project requirements.
Due to working alongside other Medical Devices divisions, it is expected that you would have knowledge of ISO 13485, QMS and GMP.

What You’ll Do
Design and develop electrical systems for sonar, control, and power distribution.
Integrate subsystems into complex defence platforms.
Ensure compliance with MIL-STD, DEF STAN, and EMC standards.
Run testing, validation, and qualification activities.
Produce clear schematics, test documents, and design reports.
Troubleshoot electrical issues across development and in-service equipment.
Support upgrades, obsolescence, and new technology adoption.
