Contribute to the planning and evaluation of learning activities
Support teachers in planning and preparing lessons, resources and the classroom during weekly planning meetings; assist in the recording of pupils’ progress
Support for the school:
Monitor effective working relationships with colleagues and parents
Attend weekly staff briefing meetings
Contribute to the maintenance of pupils' safety and security
Review and develop their own professional practice
Recognise confidentiality, child protection procedures, Health & Safety, and the policies of the Governing Body and the MAT
Provide first aid to children (after training)
Assist the teaching staff in the smooth transition between educational phases
Liaise effectively with parents and other parties, as required
Training:
Early Years Educator Level 3Work based learning - all observations/meetings etc. will take place at the nursery
No weekly release day into college
All work/assignments set via CRM system, Aptem
Training will include paediatric first aid qualification

Duties will include, but not be limited to:
1:1 and small group work
Working in the classroom and implementing programmes of support designed especially to meet pupils' needs
To prepare learning materials appropriate to the needs of the pupils
To regularly record and update information about the pupils' progress and in particular about support issues

Ensure maintenance of a clean, orderly and safe working environment
Assist teacher with learning activities, ensuring health and safety and good behaviour of pupils

Training:The apprenticeship is work-based learning, most of the week you'll be in the school setting completing your tasks and duties that will align to the apprenticeship. Main purpose of the post:
To work under the guidance of qualified early years educators to learn and undertake learning activities with individual children and groups of children, in or outside the classroom/setting.
An Early Years Educator Apprentice will support the qualified staff in the delivery of the early years curriculum, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children.
General Employment Duties:
To supervise and provide particular support for children, acting on the advice and guidance of qualified early years educators, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
To be flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other responsible duties where needed, such as domestic tasks, preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, etc.
Establish good working relationships with children, interacting with them according to individual needs.
To promote the inclusion and acceptance of all children.
To encourage children to interact and work cooperatively with others and engage all children in activities.
Provide our children with a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care in the Nursery.
Providing personal care, such as feeding, changing nappies, and administering medication
To promote self-esteem and independence
Training:Monday - Friday 30 hour per week, 6 hours per day.
