A normal day would include: Learning how to list products on Shopify and not on the high street and any other platforms we partner with in the future Monthly stock takes Potentially some purchasing and buying in the future of gift items like candles, chocolates, facemasks etc. Support on seasonal photo shoots for new ranges Support for data entry Customer outreach support Social media management Ad hoc duties may include – making refreshments if we have a client meeting, general office support, taking phone calls/messages, greeting visitors, support with DHL/Royal Mail post – incoming/outgoing, invoice support Occasional support may be needed on Urban Bliss for holiday covers etc., where the brands overlap with the shared teams at times but primarily this would be a Parcel London-specific role. Our previous apprentice, Lauren Bourke who is now permanent, supports both brands As we are a gifting company, there will be an element of picking and packing, creating labels to send gifts out, tracking of all deliveries, and follow-ups with customers if needed All of the above would have training provided, and we would start slowly and drip feed new tasks once original tasks have been mastered but above would be the ideal for someone to be managing. We need someone who is motivated, enthusiastic, has some experience with Excel, Word and computers in general. Social media personal experience would be a bonus, but not required. Someone who is friendly, likes gifting and working on nice, pretty products and is excited to work alongside an established start-up brand. Successful candidates will obtain a BSc (hons.) degree, which will include: Identifying opportunities for technological improvement, selecting products from suppliers Working with market research professionals to translate consumer insight into packaging design features Identifying packaging opportunities and championing them to stakeholders Identifying and optimising solutions that improve sustainability and minimise environmental impact Managing complex projects to time and budget Generating new packaging products in response to briefs, ensuring that the packaging developed meets set requirements, legislation and specifications Producing samples to optimise the end product; different materials, formats and designs Running trials to check packaging for suitability and performance under various conditions Controlling specifications, production and quality standards undertaking technical evaluations, selections, and negotiating with suppliers Training: This is a 4-year programme integrating a professional, business degree (BSc. The Sports Coach apprentice has an important role to play in improving the health and wellbeing of children, families and communities by delivering fun, inclusive and engaging activities that help to bring about a change in physical activity habits. They will use extensive technical and tactical sports knowledge and skills to design and deliver coaching programmes that engage, motivate and evolve participants’ skills and performance. During this programme, Apprentices will engage in training that will develop and enhance their coaching skills and equip them to work in a variety of environments. In addition to this, there will also be a unique opportunity for candidates to engage in training that will develop and enhance their classroom practice/teaching skills so they can deliver whole class teaching for PE. School Sport Coaches design and deliver coaching programmes that focus on the acceleration of sustainable mastery of children’s psychomotor skills and wider physical education standards. They profile children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development needs. They measure psychomotor, technical and tactical skills in a range of physical activity contexts drawn from the Department for Education’s National Curriculum to enable physical education targets to be agreed upon. These results are used to create a curriculum plan that considers school term schedules and a ‘whole child’ development approach.
