The Role Responsibilities:
Assist in maintenance activities across the site, including preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance under the supervision of qualified engineers
Support electrical and mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring of plant machinery once qualified in these areas
Learn how to diagnose faults in electrical, mechanical, and control systems, using data and technical problem-solving techniques
Work as the link between Operations & Engineering, ensuring maintenance activities support production efficiency
Assist in contractor management, including the issuing of Permit to Work (PTW) and reviewing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
Support Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives by contributing ideas and helping to implement efficiency improvements
Engage in structured training, both on-the-job and through external learning providers, to achieve recognized engineering qualifications
Work safely, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and food production hygiene standards
To provide technical support to Operational teams, and Operations Management, monitoring maintenance activities, routines and procedures for accuracy, effectiveness and completion

Position Overview
As a Paint Prepper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and durability of our client's products. You will be responsible for preparing fabricated parts for wet painting, including drilling, fettling, filling, sanding, shot blasting, sealing, washing, cleaning, degreasing, and masking components. Responsibilities
Use power tools for drilling, grinding, and sanding component surfaces in line with company processes
Mask threads and bores to protect from shot blast damage and paint ingress
Handle components through blast equipment to achieve a good surface finish and high cleanliness level
Hang components efficiently for priming and painting
Unload components and pack for delivery to production areas and stores, ensuring paint finish is not damaged
Monitor blast profiles daily
Clean prep area daily and carry out regular preventative maintenance tasks on the shot blast
Comply with the company's H&S policy and ensure all work is carried out in line with relevant Risk Assessments
Adhere to the company's environmental policies and legal duties, including control of emissions, management of solvents, and disposal and recycling of waste products
