GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
During each term as a Process Engineering Co-Op they will have the opportunity to learn, experience and contribute to the operations of the polyurethane sealants and coatings manufacturing process. The co-op will develop an understanding of the relationship between the manufacturing process and the various teams that support the process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will work in conjunction with the process and quality engineering group to support safety, quality, maintenance and production processes. Learn and use process tools such as Process Safety Management, Behavioral Risk Improvement and Lean Six-Sigma tools including 5S, A3 Problem Solving, Statistical Process Control and Value Stream Mapping. Interaction with the plant will be part of the daily routine. Some responsibilities are, but not limited to: Lead small projects for improvement of a process or equipment Collect data for process waste reduction Edit or create P&IDs Work alongside Process Engineers on Capital Expense Projects Conduct meetings to communicate information or collaborate on projects Serve as a back-up for the Quality Lab Safety
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bore Mill Machinist Role & Responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled Bore Mill Machinist to join a well-equipped and growing machine shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating and machining large precision components using manual bore milling machines.
As a Bore Mill Machinist, your duties will include:
- Reading and interpreting detailed 2D engineering drawings and route cards
- Planning and setting up machining operations on manual bore mills
- Selecting correct tooling, feeds, and speeds based on material and geometry
- Using overhead cranes to load and position large or heavy workpieces (training provided)
- Operating horizontal bore milling machines
- Machining to tight tolerances on large and complex components
- Performing layout inspections and marking out before machining
- Carrying out in-process and final checks to ensure quality compliance
- Deburring and preparing components for safe handling
- Maintaining a clean and organised workstation through TPM and daily housekeeping tasks
- Recording job data and times accurately within the production system
Bore Mill Machinist Requirements
To be successful as a Bore Mill Machinist, youll need:
- A relevant engineering apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience
- At least 2 years experience operating manual bore milling or deep hole boring machines
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Experience working to tight tolerances on large fabricated or forged components
- Lifting and slinging skills (LOLER training provided)
- Familiarity with Siemens control systems is an advantage
- A logical, methodical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

Main Responsibilities of the Continuous Improvement Engineer.
Deliver CI projects to support the operational and Engineering teams to always improve plant output and quality.
Support the delivery of financial budget aligned with the delivery of KPI’s (waste, TOS, efficiency, machine uptime, planned tonnage and accidents).
Leverage and develop site capability on CI tools and techniques (Lean Six-sigma, Kaizen, SMED, 5S, Line-balancing, Centrelines).
Support the maintenance and drive CI in our bakery OEE performance management system.
Support embedding site values as part of CI Strategies.
Demonstrate Health and Safety adherence and cultural behaviours to support site culture.
Essential or desirable skills as the Continuous Improvement Engineer.
Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt or similar relevant qualification in CI - essential.
Previous experience/qualifications in Manufacturing Excellence.
Clear understanding and application of CI tools and techniques, in particular DMAIC, SMED, 5S, Centre Lining, SIC, Kaizen and Line Balancing.
