Support scaffold protection fans according to requirements of current industry practice
Erect scaffolds on pavements and public places safely and correctly, with regard to Local Authority regulations
Install spurs and rakers within the correct operating angles. Attach check fittings, droppers and puncheons in the correct positions to scaffolds
Install anchor ties and other specialist fixings to the manufacturer’s recommendations
Select, space, install and test the correct number of ties to restrain sheeted and unsheeted scaffolds to current industry practices
Determine the material requirements for independent and putlog scaffolds with returns, towers and birdcages up to three lifts high.
Lay out materials, set out scaffolds and overcome obstacles to erect scaffolds safely
Determine the materials required to set out, erect and dismantle in a safe sequence
Inspect gin wheels for serviceability, position and fix securely, reeve, rope, tie knots and correctly use gin wheel to haul up scaffold tubes, boards and fittings. Take down gin wheel and coil rope
Inspect basic scaffolds prior to handover
Training:
You will attend college over a 2-year period, growing from an apprentice to a fully qualified scaffolder whilst learning on the job, achieving a fully recognised Level 2 Scaffold NVQ qualification
Functional skills in maths and English (if required)
You will be attending Construction College Midlands, every two to three months on a two-week block release

They will be focused on improving the reliability of machines, installation and movements of existing machines, overhaul and repair of machines and equipment as well as ensuring machines and equipment on site are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose.
Key responsibilities include:
• To adhere to Company Rules / Health and Safety / Environmental Standards and Practices.
• Carry out Preventative Planned Maintenance tasks to ensure all assets are safe and reliable for use. • Fault finding on all assets, identify and repair machine breakdowns.
• Identifying and supporting corrective actions on asset/process limitations.
• Work with and install single phase / three phase electrical circuits.
• To attend training and continuous development opportunities when required.
• Continuously look to improve reliability and cost effectiveness of all assets.
• Contribution to the company objectives and values. Essential Requirements:
• Proven record of actively promoting safe working practices.
• Time served in a Maintenance Engineering role within a Manufacturing environment, ideally with a mechanical bias.
• Basic knowledge of PLC control systems.
• Ability to undertake shift work (Annualised Hours pattern*), overtime and call outs as required.
• Knowledge and understanding of 5s and lean manufacturing techniques.
• Proficient in the use of IT software for example Microsoft.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment including hearing protection, gloves, hard hat, safety shoes and safety glasses.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test and achieve a satisfactory result in a company medical. Essential Personal Qualities:

JOB REQUIREMENTS KEY RESPONSBILITIES Annualised Hours Pattern* Core work hours are Monday to Friday 7am – 3pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break (equating to 37.5 hours per week). Whilst working the Maintenance shift pattern, you are paid to work the following shifts below each year: -10 Weeks of Back Shifts (1 in 5) - 3pm – 11pm (with a 30-minute unpaid break) - 5 Weeks of Night Shifts (1 in 10) - 11pm – 7am (with a 30-minute unpaid break) - 10 Weekends - Saturday 7am – 3pm and Sunday 7am – 3pm* (with a 30-minute unpaid break). Troubleshooting and resolution of complex networking incidents and escalations via tickets
Act as an escalation point to our 1st line team
Monitoring and fixing of networking alerts
Root cause analysis and reporting of network trends
Major incident resolution often working with 3rd party on-site engineers
On-call support (escalations only, as part of rota). May include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays as agreed
Identification of improvements to networking systems and infrastructure
Comprehensive monitoring of production networks and infrastructure
Hardware and firmware upgrades to networking infrastructure – remote and onsite
Writing and implementing RFC’s
Provision of support and training to team members
Creation and maintenance of detailed documentation
As required, act as a Technical Escalation point for a number of pre-agreed Managed Service Customers
