The role is predominantly night shifts starting from our office in Arundel where you will collect your vehicle and equipment for the the night. All necessary uniform and equipment is provided and you will be given peer-to-peer training on all our different rounds.
Your duties may include:-
Driving a patrol van to a variety of sites in a designated area

Carrying out internal site patrols
Locking and unlocking buildings
Responding to emergency alarms (intruder alarms, CCTV activations, fire alarms)

This is an exciting Apprentice Gardener opportunity. The Apprentice Gardener helps maintain the Gardens to the highest possible standards with tasks set out by the management team, and achieve this in a safe, environmentally sustainable and competent manner.
Key Accountabilities
Maintain a high standard of lawns within the College by using appropriate machinery within safety guidelines.
Apply horticultural products, including fertilisers, in a safe and competent manner, to achieve good plant and soil health and support long-term biodiversity.
Assist with the maintenance of borders, trees, hedges, containers and pots, lawns, topiary, tools and machinery, often working at height from ladders and steps, doing so in a safe manner.
Undertake general maintenance of gardens including the tasks of mowing, pruning, digging, planting, strimming, irrigation, leafing, mulching and maintenance of paths, using appropriate machinery as directed, ensuring all duties are carried out safely and to a high standard.
Highlight any garden related issues and problems within the gardens to the relevant person.
All staff must adopt a responsible attitude towards health and safety and be prepared to undertake any training provided in relation to health and safety or which is identified as necessary in relation to their work.
The work includes all aspects of gardening and the job holder will be working outdoors in all weathers, undertaking physically demanding tasks, as well as fine detailed and repetitive maintenance work.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in pursuing a career in coaching/ instructing riding and will have the opportunity to assist in rides and lessons.
General duties to include (but not be limited to):
handling and caring for the horses
mucking out
sweeping and cleaning the yard
preparing horses for lessons including tacking up and grooming
This a position for a ridden or non-ridden apprentice however, some experience with horses and yard work would be needed to be a successful applicant.Training:All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.Training Outcome:
Possibility of progression to Level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship upon successful completion of the Level 2 for the right candidate.
Dependent on interests of individual - additional support for those wishing to pursue employment in a riding school environment.

We cater for all ages and a variety of abilities. Beginners are welcome and our lessons are aimed more at the leisure rider than the competition rider.
