Applications are invited from suitably-experienced School Nurses to join the Special Needs Secondary School team on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.This is a term-time only role of 38 weeks per year.The role offers an eight year local housing permit, a £5,000 relocation payment and four years of private rental allowance to help offset the cost of private rent.If you have not completed your SCPHN qualification there is the opportunity for this to be funded as part of your role. There are three departments in the school, KS3 (Middle School 11yrs old - 14), KS4 (Senior School 14 - 16) and the Sensory and Communication Department (11 - 19). In some cases, students will remain within the provision up to the age of 25. You will also provides school nursing health support to students with special needs attending the College of Further Education. Due to the nature of the provision student numbers vary year on year, the school has a capacity of 110 students, however the nurse may be supporting up to 140 students across all areas.
