We are offering the opportunity to train as a Building Services Design Engineer (HVAC).
Working as part of the design team within an M&E contractor, you will not only gain the necessary technical skills, but you will benefit from the practical knowledge and experience of working with our installation teams; this will set you apart from other design engineers who go down the consultancy route and will be of huge benefit to your career. Added to that, you will have the satisfaction of seeing your designs come to life as the buildings are constructed and ultimately delivered to the end client.

Working with our design team the apprentice will be assisting with the preparation of the following:
HVAC Design Calculations (Bentley Hevacomp).
HVAC Systems Layouts / Schematics (AutoCAD, Revit).
Selection and Scheduling of HVAC Plant and Equipment (Excel).
Coordination review with other members of the design team ie; Architects, Structural.
Training:The Apprentice will be required to attend college at our Somer Valley Campus in Radstock one day per week, term time only.Training Outcome:Fully competent lead designer, responsible for their own projects and managing the design process to successfully deliver Building Services Schemes. Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technicians will work on various types of plant and equipment commonly found throughout the Engineering Industry.
Technicians will undertake installation, testing, servicing, removal, replacement, maintenance and repair of a range of equipment, sometimes complex, as part of planned preventative and reactive maintenance programmes. They may also undertake decommissioning activities when plant is being removed from service.
You will be responsible for the quality of your own work, possibly others’ and ensuring the work is completed safely, meets stakeholder quality, time and budget requirements, whilst maintaining the efficient running of plant and equipment.
