This is a fantastic opportunity to progress into an exciting dental career. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to work alongside the dentist.
Duties will include assisting in the provision and delivery of dental care to patients, reception duties and decontamination/sterilising in the surgery. In-house training will be given by an experienced team and the Apprenticeship qualification will be provided by Oldham College.
The ideal candidate will have grade C/4 GCSE or above in English and Maths. They must be organised, with good communication skills, be computer literate, keen to learn, be of smart and professional appearance at all times and have a positive attitude.
Your daily activities could include:
Follow practice policies and procedures
Establish, promote and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the dental team
Liaise with the practice manager on all matters concerning administration, pay and service conditions
Assist with reception and clerical duties as required
Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your own work
Responsible for infection control procedures, setting up and preparing the dental surgery at the start of the day, managing infection control between patients and closing at the end of the day, including cleaning and sterilising instruments and equipment
Set up and prepare the treatment room appropriately for each patient
Assist in taking radiographs (according to the level of training)
Maintain and decontaminate equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ instruction and your training
Provide chairside support to the dentist during treatment
Monitor, support and reassure patients
Assist in keeping full and accurate patient records
Monitor and maintain stocks within the practice
Maintain CPD and attend annual mandatory training
Comply with all legislation
Attend practice meetings as requested

Providing administrative support to a team of costs drafts people. Co-ordinating the teams work allocation and providing direct liaison with the organisations clients and partners to ensure key dates and timescales are met.
Supporting the Team Leader and Operations Manager through the production of key Management information and updates on the progression of workflow.
Provide full administrative support to a team of cost drafts people including:
Identifying, scanning and photocopying key client documentation and uploading into case management system
Managing allocated work in line with client SLA’s and any required updates, including CMS task, liaising with appropriate Managers
Liaising with internal employees and external clients to ensure that key deadlines are met and documentation exchanged to set timescales
Allocate Hearings, Replies, Training and any other matters to Advocates diaries as required
Arranging couriers to collect and return client files, preparing appropriate paperwork, in line with Company guidelines
Providing administrative support for Company-wide projects
Providing administrative support to teams, as required
Training:
Training will be at Doncaster College where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer

Receive, plan and complete job orders on time, following the correct procedures to an acceptable standard
Effectively use any relevant ICT equipment and information systems in order to effectively undertake the required duties
Take good care of, and use correctly, all tools, equipment, personal protective equipment and any other resources issued to you
