Position Overview
You’ll be the primary point of contact for clients, providing both on site and remote support. This role is for someone who enjoys both desk work and outgoing meeting clients.
Responsibilities
• Client Interaction: Engage directly with clients, offering solutions and support for IT-related issues.
• Project Management: Oversee projects from initial diagnostics to final resolution, including onboarding/offboarding staff, and conducting inductions.
• Technical Mastery: Handle desktop, application, and network support, including installation of networking equipment like switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Networking Expertise: Work with TCP/IP, VLANs, and various networking hardware—ideally UniFi, Aruba, and Cisco.
• Collaborative Troubleshooting: Work alongside third-party technical teams to support PDQs and ePOS systems, with ample training provided.

The role of the degree apprentice is to undertake all requirements during the solution development life-cycle from analysis, design, code, build, test, implementation and support. Follow a systematic methodology for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing technology solutions projects using industry standard processes, methods, techniques and tools to execute and manage projects. Main Tasks for a prototype Wirer:
Production of wiring looms/cable assemblies: comfortable with crimping, soldering, lacing & splicing to aerospace standards
Wiring of cabinets and fixtures
Attributes:
Extensive knowledge of cable types, connectors, cable assembly techniques and applications
Able to liaise with in-house engineers with technical queries and provide build solutions for prototype assemblies
Understanding of engineering drawings, wiring schedules and circuit diagrams
Able to solder to a consistently high standard
Familiar with a variety of mil spec connectors, cable production techniques
Able to work to IPC 620 Class 3
Able to work to deadlines
Tidy, methodical and accurate
Own standard wiring tools (specialised tools will be supplied)
Able to work independently
Good team player
Willing to provide on-site support at customer premises when required
ESD awareness
Qualifications and Experience:
