Position Overview
As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business in achieving right-first-time (RFT) manufacturing, driving continuous improvement, and minimising wastage and downtime. You will work closely with the Head of Quality to build and maintain robust Quality Management Systems and ensure the highest standards of quality and hygiene are maintained throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
- Support the business in achieving the right first-time (RFT) manufacturing, continuous improvement, and minimising wastage and downtime
- Build and maintain Quality Management Systems alongside the Head of Quality
- Address daily quality and hygiene issues within the factory and implement effective resolutions
- Manage the Quality and Hygiene teams, providing coaching, development, appraisals, and disciplinary support
- Control non-conformance reports (NCRs) and root cause analyses (RCAs), following up on actions
- Ensure positive release of all products and maintain up-to-date equipment calibration records
- Conduct annual validations, and internal audits, and compile reports
- Manage supplier approval process and maintain relevant documentation
- Conduct shelf-life testing, traceability audits, and assist with handling customer complaints
- Train staff on QMS procedures, one-point lessons, and quality workshops
- Ensure appropriate control of hold stock and conduct trending and analysis of GMP, NCRs, complaints, and foreign bodies
- Prepare monthly quality dashboard and assist the Head of Quality with external audits
- Support the Hygiene team and provide cover for the Head of Quality during absences
Candidate Profile
- Previous QA experience or experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent people management skills
- Experience with BRC and advanced food hygiene training
- Advanced literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
- A degree in food science or related discipline is desirable but not essential

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Divisional Inspection/Warranty Administration Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of all WTI inspection services, warranties, and leak call administration within his/her assigned Division. As a support member within the managed services team, your role is pivotal in helping to ensure our customers have a smooth and efficient experience when raising incidents and requests as part of their customer support journey.
There are 3 main elements to this role:
Initial tier 1 triage for new incidents and requests. This will operate via the support portal and phone calls
Actioning any tickets that are deemed to fall under the 1.5 support line bracket for all Totalmobile products
Being part of the primary support team for the Protect product. This includes software support, hardware support, configuring new devices, processing returns, handling stock, training and reporting. This role also provides support to the wider Protect teams such as customer success, finance and sales
This role will report directly to the Customer Engagement Hub Manager and working closely with the Managed Services Team Lead. This team is based out of the Rochdale office and requires an element of physical hardware set up and distribution. Therefore, it is expected you will be in the physical office for most days. Exceptions for this include those on an apprenticeship who will receive a day a week to work from home on work related to their apprenticeship course and exceptions agreed with your manager.
Daily tasks will include:
Supporting customers using the internal ticketing system
Communicating with customers via telephone and email providing end user customer support and product information
Device hardware provisioning, testing, and repairing
Creating and updating ad hoc customer and internal reports
Stock management
Assisting the Project Manager with new and existing client projects for Protect hardware
Preparing and distributing customer reports
Importing and updating existing data in a database using a GUI and bespoke tools
Ticket communication management
Engaging with smaller customers on an ad hoc basis to understand and resolve issues
