You will be responsible for:
Providing high quality, first and second line technical support for the IT service desk; recording all calls and activities within the service desk tool, within the SLA guidelines
Setting up user accounts, implementing password changes, and resolving work area problems (this includes detecting illegal access, lost passwords, bans)
Keeping records of all users, including the management of laptop loans
Handling printing problems – both hardware and software
Dealing with user account problems as and when they occur
Hardware – routine checking, fault-finding and rectifying, general maintenance
Stock control of consumables and hardware ordering, distribution and paperwork
Escalating calls or technical issues internally or to third parties as appropriate
To assist and train students and staff in the use of the Network when applicable
Changing telephone extensions and names on the school phone system
Assisting the IT Lead in all IT related projects
Updating IT equipment and maintaining the asset register
Assistance with the movement and setting up of IT and other AV equipment, e.g. projectors and screens for presentations

Programming and operations in connection to the 3D metal printer
Programming the industrial laser systems using CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) software which operates the 6-axis machinery that completes component repairs and welds new parts
Putting together project plans, liaising with suppliers and ensuring all work is carried out on time for customers
Working with customers using online meetings, by phone, email and in person
Reverse engineering, using non-contact measuring systems and specialist computer software, to produce electronic models of parts. These then feed into the CAM programming

Compiling material analysis reports for internal and customer use

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager:
Day to day management of a team of 3 Maintenance Team Leaders, 2 Stores Controllers, and up to 15 engineers
Manage electrical and mechanical workload distribution – Covering planned and reactive maintenance activities across manufacturing lines
Drive plant improvements and increased efficiencies
Support with Capital project requirements
Deputize for the Engineering Manager as needed
Manage subcontractors and ensure safety compliance
Identify and resolve recurring plant issues through engineering improvements (RCA)
Enhance plant reliability with best practices (CMMS)
Required Experience & Qualifications of Maintenance Manager
Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Maintenance
Strong knowledge of EHS, PPM, TPM, and CMMS
Experience in manufacturing maintenance environments
Familiarity with producing RAMS, SOPs, and maintenance practices
