Training:As part of our continued commitment to professional development, this role also offers the opportunity for anybody who does not currently hold a Teaching Assistant qualification to complete their level 3 ‘Initial Teaching Assistant Training’.
Your Trainer will meet with you in the workplace or online every 2-4 weeks. In between these meetings you will have dedicated time away from your job to work on the apprenticeship and collate evidence for your apprenticeship e-portfolio with ongoing support from your Manager and Trainer.Training Outcome:

Main Role Duties / Scope:
Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure machines are in safe working condition for production.
Contribute to preventative maintenance development and maintenance schedules.
Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner and identify route cause(s) of the breakdown and implement the corrective solution where possible. If this is not possible, the matter needs to be escalated as a priority.
All machines must be left in a safe condition and if the maintenance work is not completed, the machine and immediate area must be cordoned off accordingly and left in a safe manner.
Safe systems of work must be always used to prevent injury and damage to plant, machinery and equipment.
Responsible for maintaining the shift log and to pass unfinished work over the next shift following the correct shift handover process.
Respond effectively to any environmental incidents and be part of emergency response team to the plant, machinery and equipment safe.
Maintain the relevant maintenance stores inventory Ensure 5S standards are maintained including keeping own work area tidy and free from clutter.

Both Emergency Departments see approximately 30,000 presentations per annum, and have excellent access to 24-hour pathology and 24-hour on-call radiology services. The major hospital also caters to the emergency resuscitation, surgery and intensive care of most trauma patients in the North West Tasmanian and King Island communities. As Clinical Director of Surgery, you will oversee and facilitate the overall function of the Surgery Department in collaboration with the Executive Director of Medical Services and Nursing Director of Operations. Sheet Metal Worker Role & Responsibilities
- Able to set & operate CNC Brake Presses
- Work from technical drawings
- Background in aerospace, defence, nuclear or similar is preferable but not essential
- Deburring and dressing parts
- Comfortable working with very thin gauge materials
- Due to the versatile nature of the business, there is a good chance to be trained in different areas of the business
- Any CADCAM experience is also desirable but not essential as training will be provided for the right candidate.
