During this time working alongside other technicians you will be given the opportunity to get involved with both electrical and mechanical tasks.

As it is a multi-skilled roll, you will learn the mechanical side of maintaining conveyors, elevators, grinders and much more. This will involve changing bearings/gearboxes, fitting new equipment.

Sanding down relevant areas and adjoining areas for blending
Masking out areas that will need to be treated

Preparation techniques for different surfaces (including plastic)
Application of various top and primer finishes
Defect rectification and masking techniques

You will be required to attend Sandwell College Central Campus (West Bromwich) once a week to work in the workshop.
